I'm originally from 'away' (gasp!) and moved to Maine from Connecticut in 2009.  I fell in love with the state after spending my summers here and visiting my 8 million family members who also live here.

The longer I live in Maine the more I realize there is to explore.  After adopting a border collie with never-ending energy, I quickly realized my hikes and adventures needed to be dog friendly.

Luckily Maine is one of those states that likes dogs and allows them just about everywhere.  However, after much googling I realized there really wasn't any central place on the internet that gave people an idea of what a hike was like for people with dogs.

Eventually I realized- I'm doing those hikes, I like to take pictures and videos, I have some basic knowledge of how to make a blog- I should do it.

And so, Maine Dog Adventures was born.
